The first fragrance I tried from the Strangelove  NYC line was Silence the Sea: I got lost and fell in love. Irreversibly.

I realized then that nomen est omen: yes, perfumes that the trio Gaynes-Laudamiel-Christensen offers ARE strange, and you might fall in love with all of them. It made perfect sense.

It so happened recently that I won a 15 ml Lost in Flowers bottle in an IG giveaway organized by Strangelove NYC, and this is my review!

Blanc. White: rarely is the color of white – what is considered pure white, and characterized by red, green, and blue codes that are exactly equal, thus marked with Hex triplet #FFFFFF. If you ask interior designers, they all agree that there are so many variations of white, and only reading the names of different “whites” is fun.

Even if you are dealing with pure white, it’s an illusion. White is a perception we have when our eyes are confronted with all visible wavelengths of light! All colors of the rainbow united give white, but all materials that scatter light in every direction also appear white.

Blanc Polychrome
by Atelier Des Ors is an array of bright colors that swirl around joyfully before uniting to form a glowing beam of light.

During the past 10 weeks, I had enough time to go through my perfume bottles and samples, making an inventory of a kind. I ended up playing like a little kid with perfume and desert sand, and just sniffing certain fragrances made me close my eyes: I traveled in time and space to deserts I long for, or the ones I’ve always dreamt about.

I wanted to share them with you, and maybe inspire you to do the same, so here are the 5  great fragrances for desert lovers! I wore them the most this spring! I’m not (never) saying that these are the TOP 5 ever or anything like that – you’ll make your own choices. I’ll try to explain why I singled out these five, and what makes them special.
