Visiteur, a perfume brand founded in 2018 by Janne Rainer Vuorenmaa from Sweden, is now present with three fragrances: Cabaret Nocturne was the first one I reviewed, even before it officially launched.
Janne did take his time, a perfectionist, working on each and every detail until he was ready. And guess what? He was ready amidst the worst lockdowns – in 2020!
Here’s my review of Cabaret Nocturne, a wonderful fragrance created by talented Cecile Zarokian. (First published in Cafleurebon, edited)
It’s funny how things in life sometimes take unexpected turns. Last summer, while I was staying in Grasse and frenetically driving around Cote d’Azur, I got a DM on Instagram. “Are you in Cannes now?” – “Not today, I was there yesterday…” I replied to Anastasia from Suleko Perfumes.
It turned out that Anastasia was there, at the Croisette, and she wanted to meet in person. Unfortunately, every second of my stay was planned in advance and we didn’t manage to meet in France.
Sheiduna. Sheitan’s bride? A she-dune? Seduction? Is that how they named you, I asked the perfume. Why?
It is all of this and more, yet with utmost elegance.
Here it was, right under my nose, the new perfume Sheiduna by Puredistance – Master Perfumes. An intriguing one, packed in an elegant bottle, smooth and heavy in my hand, with wow-baam! perfume percentage – where will it take me, I wondered. The niche house of Puredistance always seemed promising to me (feel free to click and learn more).
