Roses are interpreted in perfumery in so many different ways, and Ruby Wood quenches my thirst for exuberant, lush, and sensual roses in a way that rarely a perfume does. So much that it left me speechless. Pure joy! And a fine, artisan fragrance.
There are so many lovely fragrances that I haven’t reviewed in detail yet but wear and enjoy enormously. Like Charlatan! Created by Rasei Fort for Fort and Manle in 2016, smelling of chocolate, tonka beans, a bouquet of flowers, and sweet lies.
This perfume has been haunting me ever since I first encountered it: ADH / Aroma de hormiguero or the scent of an anthill! Ants are the symbol of the Santi Burgas brand, and what a different fragrance Rodrigo Flores-Roux has created!
I managed to smell some Blackbird creations, and here are two that I enjoyed very much. Their fragrances are bold, uncompromising, very funky, and fun to wear. Looking forward to sampling some of their newest additions, so keep this brand on your radar. Y06-S is a nana-banana, and it is great!
Irisistible created by Tanja Bochnig of April Aromatics is an Art&Olfaction Awards, 2019 Finalist. And no wonder! Nomen est omen, I love interesting perfume names, and this is such a wonderful name for an iris-centered fragrance. I also love Tanja’s creativity and her holistic approach, the whole concept also matters.
Rien!
Not a „nothing“. I would rather say – everything, and a lot in between.
And the first thing that comes to my mind every time I wear it? The song, of course. Non, rien de rien, je ne regrette rien…off I go humming, and it sticks in my mind for hours. Just like Etat Libre d’Orange Rien does.
